Dion and Faye have been engaged since they were kids, but their 10-year age gap led Dion to stay away from her for years, going as far as going to boarding school overseas, and college in the UK. Unbeknownst to anyone, part of his reluctance is fueled by guilt – he's convinced he was the reason his parents and Faye's mother were on the plane that took their life, and he's unable to face Faye.

When he's forced back home for the wedding he can no longer escape, he learns that his timid fiancée now has a boyfriend. After intercepting the two on their way up to a hotel room in a hotel his family owns, he becomes increasingly intrigued by the parts of Faye she hides from the world. The more he learns about her, the harder he falls.

Except, it soon becomes clear that all Faye has ever wanted was true freedom; something she never had in her abusive household. She soothes his soul and heals his wounds, so how could he keep her captive in a marriage she never wanted, when she's meant to fly high?

Our sweet hero learns that sometimes, letting someone go is the best way to love them. What he doesn't expect is that sometimes, love is worth coming back home for too.
