Colette Palmer writes romance novels under the pen name Colette Rhodes, and had been publishing for six years before deciding to open The Ink Pot. Together with husband, Andrew, they are the team behind the store.
The Idea
Having travelled to a range of romance conventions over the years, Colette was keen to create an in-person romance-reading community here at home. Colette and Andrew both feel strongly about the importance of physical media and the loss of third space, and saw The Ink Pot as an opportunity for both.
The Dream
Our dream for The Ink Pot is for it to be a community-focused space where romance readers and writers can enjoy their hobby without judgement. We have a range of events on the go already, and plenty more planned.
