ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Kayla grew up in a suburb of Madison, Wisconsin. Though she lived near a big college town, her backyard was often a cornfield and her favorite hobby was riding her horse along a lush green trail. On days like this, Kayla imagined flying through the fields with a cape on her back and a sword in her hand. Her active imagination led to writing scripts, stories, and fanfiction - which she still avidly continues today. When not writing, Kayla can often be found in NYC at a Broadway theater or drinking fancy espresso. She lives in Los Angeles, CA with her cockatiel, Fiyero.
